Spring is my favourite season, along with Autumn. I love watching my garden come to life after the winter months and this year I have reaped the rewards of all the planting I did last year.
Spring stitching with the Spring Craftpod 2022 box
My garden is full of wild violets which I can never bear to pull up. I’m glad I didn’t as one of the projects in my latest subscription box was a sweet embroidered glasses case featuring violets. I do love my crafty subscription boxes and the Spring Craftpod box was full of treats.
I especially loved the colour palette of greens and purples and I enjoyed the embroidery on the glasses case. I love linen and it was fun trying a new technique, using transfer paper to transfer the design on to the dark fabric.
The glasses case was tricky to make but again, I enjoyed trying something new. There were three layers to turn inside out and I used my machine to make sure it was nice and strong. It was a little bulky in parts but fun to make and I’m already using it to keep my glasses safe!
The second project was a sweet little felt lamb soft sculpture. I love stitching felt and I enjoyed putting my little felt lamb together, even though it was small and fiddly. It’s made with 100% natural wool felt and Corriedale wool fleece. It’s on display with some of the other felt animals from my Craftpod collection which my daughter loves to play with.
