What I made December 2025

Posted on December 30, 2025December 30, 2025 by jenny

The end of the year has arrived quickly and December has been the busiest month of all. It’s been a busy month with pretty much non-stop activity. There has been gingerbread making, tree decorating, card writing, reading, stitching and visiting exhibitions, making for a truly analogue end to the year – a trend I shall be carrying on into 2026.

What I made December 2025

December was a month for making miniatures. Our Maileg mice gingerbread house came out and was decorated for the Christmas season. We made more mini Maileg Christmas costumes and crafted cardboard tube crowns to celebrate Three Kings Day. There was also a miniature holly and berry garland which was fiddly but satisfying, and we 3D printed a miniature Lego wreath to mirror the large one we made earlier this year.

The teens decorated the M&S gingerbread jumper biscuits and the Waitrose & Partners Gingerbread Brownie Kit, both of which were purchased for my 2025 Gift Guide. Both were delicious and fun to make, which is surely the point of Christmas baking. We also turned our annual chocolate yule log into Stick Man which I can totally recommend!

I turned a spare quilt block into a panel by adding tiny binding to the edge of the block. It then took me weeks to find suitable interfacing so I could add it to the block before stitching it on to clothing. In the process I discovered about 10 packs of interfacing and fusible webbing, so tidied my craft stash.

The big project this month was my Pretty Fabrics and Trims 2024 Christmas Countdown panel. This large festive themed sampler, featuring a countdown to Christmas with a different stitched picture for each day, has been sitting by my side for the last few months. It’s been keeping my company as I’ve binge watched The Final Frontier this month.

My Craftpod winter subscription box arrived with a robin theme. I made the paper banner and will be working on the robin applique as soon as I’ve completed my festive stitching. It’s so lovely to have the next project lined up.

That’s a wrap on my December makes! I’d love to hear what you’ve been working on. Drop a comment below or tag me on Instagram so I can see your latest creations.

finishing those projects before the year ended is such a relief. I enjoy seeing how much work actually goes into handmade holiday crafts.

The gingerbread jumper biscuits and gingerbread brownies must have been fun to make. I wonder if there are any left in stores for us to make this weekend.
