Pretty Fabrics & Trims Advent Box

What I made in December 2024

Posted on December 27, 2024December 30, 2024 by jenny

December flew by for me packed with preparation for Christmas. This year instead of a beauty or chocolate advent calendar I signed up for the Pretty Fabrics & Trims Advent Box. The box contained one large embroidery project, a sweet countdown to Christmas, as well as a smaller project for each Sunday of Advent.

I loved the idea of something to make for myself and really enjoyed opening the box. However, I haven’t started the embroidery panel. It was just too big with a motif to stitch every day and I didn’t want to start and not finish it before Christmas (even though no-one was holding me to account for it!). So I opened the smaller projects and worked on one each week of December.

Week 1 was a jolly felt Father Christmas decoration

Week 2 contained a hand sewn jingly Christmas tree which was really fiddly to make but worth it

Week 3 was a sweet felt angel decoration

Week 4 was a little felt gingerbread tag

I received a few craft kits for Christmas so I’m looking forward to starting those, as well as a whole new year of exciting craft projects. Sign ups are open for the Benzie Design Valentine Exchange if you’re looking for something to make 🙂

You are so talented! Loving all the things you have made especially the jingly Christmas tree. What a fabulous way to decorate the house and make it look festive
