Starting my week with The Weekly Edit is a ritual I’ve kept for years. It’s my favourite Monday morning anchor—a chance to slow down, celebrate the ‘small wins,’ and gather the smiles from the week behind us. Part reflection and part record-keeping, it’s my way of documenting our family’s adventures before the next chapter begins.
The Weekly Edit {Week 41/2026}
We took the dog for a long walk in Black Park Country Park. This is somewhere we’ve wanted to re-visit for a long time. It’s close to Pinewood Studios so often gets used for filming and is a lovely place to walk.
We took the teens to the Pop Up Farm to pick this years pumpkins. They had a gorgeous selection of pumpkins and we filled our wheelbarrow. We stopped for hot chocolate and churros, and took lots of photos amongst all the photo props. We bought a couple of pumpkins for eating and have already enjoyed a Baby Boo roasted with dinner on Sunday.
I started a new Happily 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. This puzzle features lots of travel posters. I completed the last puzzle in just a couple of days, so fingers crossed this takes a little longer to do.
I also had a massive clear out of our wardrobe as I don’t think I had touched some of my handbags for the past 10 years. I bought some clever shallow storage boxes and stored all the handbags I want to keep in them. I’m not sure why I have so many Orla Kiely handbags as now I use a practical laptop bag everyday. I can’t bear to throw them away as I almost remember when and where I bought each one! I now have such more space in my wardrobe.
The youngest teen and I went shopping over the weekend. She is fun to go clothes shopping with, although she tires me out so quickly! She is able to shop for hours on end, I’m not. We bought some autumnal clothes as it is quite chilly in the mornings. She is away hill walking in Wales over half term so will be needing them!
