What I made in February 2025

Posted on February 28, 2025March 4, 2025 by jenny

February has flown by, thankfully so much quicker than January!

What I made in February 2025

I started the month by searching for something to make for the Benzie Design Valentine exchange. I found Nuovolina’s felt key tutorial and made one for my partner. I thought this was so different to all the other Valentine makes I had seen.

I received a copy of Bouquet in a Book to review. This contains lovely paper flowers to press out and make into a bouquet of flowers. I’ve tried making the sweet peas so far and they are really pretty, and will last much longer than real flowers!

We went away for a few days and I packed the Cotton Clara pegboard embroidery board kit. I’ve had this kit for a while and thought it would be fun to make if I had any spare time. I stitched my initial and it took about an hour.

If I get bored of looking at it I can simply unpick it and stitch something else.

This month I also spent time on my Liberty Tumbling Blocks cushion. I added a few more blocks to make the piece the right size for the front of the cushion.

I also removed all the backing papers which took well over an hour! It was quite satisfying when it was done though.

I’m looking forward to making the cushion up, hopefully next week, and then planning some more projects to keep me busy.

You are very creative! These are fun and interesting, and it is nice to do some crafty things and get away from all the technology in our lives.

That cube design is very similar to what my grandmother quilted! What a fantastic project to take on.
