I’m not sure how we will celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this year. We want to do something but we’re not sure what. Hopefully our village or street will be doing something special to celebrate. Even if we are only celebrating at home we will need special Platinum Jubilee treats and we tried out an idea for special Platinum Jubilee gingerbread crowns. We love baking gingerbread and these special iced crowns would make a delicious treats for kids and adults at any afternoon tea. Easy Platinum Jubilee gingerbread crowns We used our favourite gingerbread recipe but you could easily use…

I love all things Bridgerton. I admit that the first episode of Season 1 was a slow burner for me, but I quickly fell in love with the characters, costumes and sets. Since Season 1 finished I read all the Bridgerton novels by Julia Quinn and I’m excited to see what happens in Season 2. When I saw a Bridgerton inspired embroidery hoop class run by Hobbycraft I signed myself up. I find in person classes really hard to get to now I work full-time, so an online evening class sounded good to me. Bridgerton inspired embroidery hoop A few…

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write. Monday Happy Things {Week 389} Last week I celebrated my birthday with a Chinese takeaway and watching the final episode of Inventing Anna on Netflix. I received lots of books and craft kits which should keep me busy for the rest of the year!…

With Bridgerton Season 2 just about to drop of Netflix I’ve been on the look out for Bridgerton crafts! I found some really fun svg’s on Etsy and thought I would make myself a tote bag for work. The svg I found featured a pretty floral design with the words The Social Season Is Upon Us with the #Bridgerton. I wanted to use up some of the Infusible Ink I had and this seemed like a great project. {Cricut Infusible Ink} Bridgerton tote bag materials: Cricut Tote Bag Cricut Infusible Ink Cricut Machine Cricut blue cutting mat Cricut Scraper Tool…

I’m so excited for the return of Bridgerton on our screens this week. I don’t have any good series to watch at the moment and it feels like I’ve been waiting for this show for months! Over the weekend I took part in an online workshop to embroider a Bridgerton inspired hoop. It made me want to search for more Bridgerton crafts and I didn’t find many. Which is why I wanted to make something else! My Cricut is the perfect machine for crafting so I used it to make this Cricut-made Bridgerton quotation sign. I adore Violet Bridgerton and…

It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write. Monday Happy Things {Week 388} Last week was insanely busy for all of us. My son went to an Orchestras 4 All workshop in London which he really enjoyed. I’m sure I’m not the only person with a craft stash. This year I want to work my way through some of it. I do love a seasonal project and with Spring in the air I turned to one of the projects I didn’t make from a previous Craftpod subscription box. The box contained two projects. I made the felt pin cushion, but for some reason never started the Blackbird’s nest appliqué project. I have never done much appliqué, so I think this was one I put aside for when I had more time. Blackbird’s nest appliqué project Thankfully I…
