Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 398}

Platinum Jubilee embroidery

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

I made a delicious batch of scones which we enjoyed with jam and cream. I love baking and this seemed like a great after school treat for my children.

My daughter drew a picture for Queen Elizabeth and we posted it off to her! My daughter loves dogs and had fun drawing lots of corgis which is the Queen’s favourite dog.

My son has been studying textiles at school and was keen to have a go on my sewing machine. He helped me make some more bandanas for our pup as we had chosen some fun fabrics. He now has five new bandanas which should keep him going.

My daughter enjoyed a special red, white and blue day to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at school. The weather was amazing so they were able to enjoy a picnic on the field and play lots of traditional games in the sunshine.

On Friday we went to our local pub to kick start our half term adventures. The weather was amazing so we sat outside and had the most delicious fish and chips from ‘Well Nice’ fish and chips, such a great start to the weekend.

    That’s so cool that your son wanted to have a go on your sewing machine, I wish I’d had more of an interest when I was in school. Your scones look so yummy, I don’t think I’ve ever made some of my own before x
