Bridgerton crafts to celebrate the return of the Ton

Bridgerton crafts to celebrate the return of the Ton

I love a period drama and binge watched the latest season of Bridgerton. I’m glad I read the books first because the series was very different from the book. It was still enjoyable and I binge watched it in a few days. I’m looking forward to season 3 sometime in 2023, especially as they are missing out book 3 and jumping straight to book 4, the one about Penelope and Colin (Polin!). Anyway, I just wanted to celebrate Regencycore and all things Bridgerton.

I was surprised by how few Bridgerton inspired crafts I could find anywhere so I planned a few of my own. The first was the Cricut Infusible Ink Bridgerton tote bag. I found an svg which featured a pretty floral design with the words The Social Season Is Upon Us with the #Bridgerton. I wanted to use up some of the Infusible Ink I had and this seemed like a great project. I use the bag every day at work.

My fun Bridgerton quotation sign hangs on my desk. I adore Violet Bridgerton and used the quotation “We shall do what women do. We shall talk.” She said it when she learned of a scandal that would get Daphne out of marrying the awful Nigel Berbrooke. She wanted Londoners to learn of the news, so that a disgraced Berbrooke would leave town. You can find the full tutorial here.

I was also able to attend a Bridgerton-Inspired embroidery workshop run by Hobbycraft. There have been plenty of scenes showing the accomplished young ladies of the Ton spending time on the worthy pursuit of embroidery. I was able to create a Bridgerton-inspired embroidery hoop design featuring beautiful florals and a quote so romantic, it would certainly win the heart of any eligible duke or duchess. Visit some of the beautiful filming locations in London

The Ranger’s House, Greenwich was used as the Bridgerton family’s Wysteria-clad mansion (said to be on Grosvenor Square).

Syon Park, Brentford was used to film Simon’s father’s study, and the State Dining Room was used for Queen Charlotte’s dinner-time meeting with her husband, King George III.

Painshill Park, Surrey (but almost London!) features as Primrose Hill.

Stowe Park in Buckinghamshire was used to depict Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens in the show, with its Temple of Venus providing the glittering backdrop to the outdoor Vauxhall Ball.

Attend Lady Whistledown’s Society Ball

I wasn’t lucky enough to get tickets to Secret Cinema Presents Bridgerton With Fever who hosted an exquisite immersive ball based on the Netflix smash-hit series. I’ve seen pictures all over Instagram and it looked amazing. The Friends of Lady Whistledown invite you to a magnificent evening of performance, surprise, secrets and perhaps other less-refined activities. Equipped with your own regency backstory, this ball is yours for the taking. Whether indulging the society spotlight or trading secrets in the dark corners, earning the Queen’s approval or plotting her downfall, 1813 is guaranteed to take you for a spin. Not only will Lady Whistledown’s Society Ball be the society party of the season, it will be unlike anything you have ever experienced before. Hopefully it will be back next year to coincide with Season 3!

Roll on Bridgerton Season 3. How shall I occupy myself until then?
