Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. I’m mixing things up a little by posting this weekly post on Sunday instead of Monday! Sunday Happy Things {Week 417} My daughter moved up from Cubs to Scouts last week. She was so excited to receive her final few Challenge badges as…

It’s been a while since I shared a gingerbread post. I’ve started thinking about my annual gingerbread gift guide which is always fun to pull together and share. This year I’ve come across a few Halloween gingerbread products and I couldn’t resist sharing them. Today I’m going to share the first one today, the M&S Ghoulish Gingerbread Skeleton Kit. M&S Ghoulish Gingerbread Skeleton Kit I was surprised to see a couple of Halloween kits on a recent trip to my local M&S. I picked up two: a M&S Ghoulish Gingerbread Skeleton Kit and a Zombie Brains Cupcake Kit. My kids…

Disclosure – this is a guest post September is here, the high holiday season is over and the school’s are going back. It’s a time of change as we start to notice the nights drawing in and the green of the first leaves starts to fade. We become aware that the best of the year’s weather is probably now behind us. It’s not unusual to feel a touch of the post-summer blues as we anticipate what lies ahead. All of which makes holding on to as much of the summer warmth and sunshine for as long as possible a very…

The weather has changed so much in the last few weeks that’s it’s hard to believe we were camping a few weeks ago. I wanted to share a few of our Isle of Wight adventures because it is such a great place for family holidays. I grew up there so I may be a teensy bit biased, but I love going back with my own children. A few years ago we discovered the Crockers Farm milk vending machine which I wanted to tell you about today. Crockers Farm milk vending machine I love a good vending machine. On our recent…
