Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 428}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

Monday Happy Things {Week 428}

I had last week off work which was amazing. We did loads of normal things, such as taking the dog to the groomers, playing board games and taking the kids to the dentist. The kids covered the floor with Scalextric sets which were destined for the charity shop. They had so much fun building tracks that we decided to keep them for a bit longer.

My daughter has been busy working her way through the Junior Duke award and we spent some time ticking off a few more challenges. They are quite easy to achieve and she is enjoying working on them.

We did a lot of crafting which was lovely because we don’t have much time normally. My daughter made salt dough ornaments, leaf decorated candles and my son made churros.

As my daughter still believes in Father Christmas we’ve been kept busy with our two elves. This year they got up to some new tricks, including decorating their bedroom doors with snowmen faces and dressing up as Stitch.

We had a quiet Christmas Day at home, mainly spent opening presents and enjoying a delicious traditional Christmas dinner. My son wanted a new iPhone and my daughter some Pokemon cards which they both loved. I got some new craft kits and sewing books.

Have a great week.

    That’s so nice that you had some time off around Christmas to enjoy being together as a family. We had a pretty chilled Christmas as well and it was really nice x
