What I made in November 2024

Bustle and Sew felt piggy

November was definitely a colourful month, as well as a month of finishing off. I had several little projects covering my desk so I worked hard on finishing them and giving myself some much needed space.

First up was a Cotton Clara Father Christmas cross stitch. Half way through stitching I had a horrible feeling I’ve already stitched this kit, so perhaps I’ll find it when we get the decorations down. I changed the colours slightly from pink to red (I love a traditional Father Christmas).

Then I made the Felt Christmas Jumper kit from Love Embroidery magazine, a decoration which will be hung on our tree.

I stitched a felt pig from a Bustle and Sew pattern, just needs a little blanket adding – pig in blanket! I thought I might make this for the Benzie Holiday Ornament Exchange 2024, but then decided to make a felt wreath, another Cotton Clara kit, instead.

I started making my own Christmas cards. A few years ago I bought stitchable Christmas cards from Hello Treacle. They are quite fun to sit and make, one down the rest of the box to go 🙂

Phew. That felt like a lot of small makes last month but it was good to see the results. I’ve tried hard not to buy anything new but did buy the 2024 wooden embroidery stitch kit from Little Stitchy Bee. It features four ornaments to embroider, strangely one three have loops to hang them up on the tree. I have a few outstanding Christmas kits but I’m not sure I’m going to have much time for them as tomorrow I will get to open my Pretty Fabrics & Trims Advent Box!
