I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I love to write. We love the Summer holidays but they are not usually quite so quiet as this year! We are still trying to have as much fun as possible. Summer Holidays edit {Week 304} When I sit down to write this post I usually look through the photos on my phone first. There…

I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I love to write. Summer Holidays edit {Week 302} We are all so excited that the summer holidays have started. We all needed a break from home learning and the children have enjoyed doing all the things they love to do – mainly den building in the garden, finding art lessons on YouTube, baking cakes…

Looking through some photos I took earlier this year, I realised that I never wrote about our first Airbnb experience. It was something we had wanted to do for a while and took the chance in February half term. That seems like a lifetime ago now but as we’ve just booked to go back to the same place, I thought I would take the opportunity to write a little post about Project Staycation 2020. What is a Staycation? Just in case you didn’t know, a staycation is simply a holiday in your home country, rather that going abroad. We’ve always…

The weather is so lovely for the first day of the school holidays. As we can’t do any of the things we usually do we spent the morning writing a little list of the things we can do. These include reading via the Summer Reading Challenge, being creative thanks to Draw With Rob and taking part in a festival at home with POPFest! Enjoy the festival season at home with POPFest! I’m sure we’ll be spending lots of time at the park now it’s finally re-opened. It’s been the only thing my daughter has wanted to do for weeks and…

What a scorcher it is today! We are really hoping this weather will continue during the school holidays. This term is flying by and we only have a few weeks of home learning left to do. I can’t wait to have 6 weeks off before (fingers crossed) the children will be able to go back to school full-time. We are looking forward to a relaxed summer with no plans to travel very far this year, although I have to admit that the learning won’t really stop! I have lots of resources on my blog if you’re looking for other ways…

Last weekend we finally got our tent and camping stuff up together and went camping at Parkdean Resorts, Nodes Point, Isle of Wight. We had booked a short weekend break with my sister and her family, and were looking forward to camping again. Camping at Parkdean Resorts Nodes Point Isle of Wight We took the Red Funnel ferry over to the Isle of Wight from Southampton. For us, this is when our journey really begins! It was a quick crossing over to West Cowes and we kept the children busy with a selection of Rubik’s toys. From West Cowes it…

I do love a day in London with my kids. We all love exploring our city and London has so much to offer families, especially in the Summer months. Today we were gifted tickets to SEA LIFE London Aquarium on the South Bank in Central London. We hopped on the Underground and soon emerged at Westminster station so we could enjoy a walk over Westminster Bridge in the sunshine. A trip to SEA LIFE London Aquarium with kids It’s been a while since our last visit to SEA LIFE London Aquarium. I had a quick look through my old blog…

I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. We spent last week exploring the Netherlands and Belgium. The weather was amazing and we packed so much into our holiday. Now we’re back home and I have piles of washing and bags to unpack! Five Happy Things {Week 253} We spent Monday exploring Rotterdam which was only 45 minutes from…
