Since our dog came along he has turned our lives upside down – in a good way. We all love him and enjoy making games for him, baking homemade treats, and even dressing him up. He loves wearing a bandana and I thought it was about time I made one for him rather than buying them. I have so much fabric and a sewing machine, which is all I really needed!

How to make an easy dog bandana
I found some fun London themed fabric in my stash which would make a great dog bandana or scarf. It featured London buses, black cabs, the London Eye as well as lamp posts and crowns. I paired this with a plain white cotton fabric.
I cut one triangle from each fabric, 60cm wide by 20cm.
I gave each piece of fabric a press with my Cricut EasyPress. Then I pinned the two layers together, right sides together.
I used my sewing machine to sew through the layers, along each side, leaving a small gap to turn it the right way.
I then carefully turned the fabric through the gap, pushing the thin ends with a knitting needle.
I then pressed it again before top stitching the three sides of the bandana with black thread.
It fits Chewie perfectly and he really loves wearing it! I can’t wait to make him some more puppy bandanas soon.
Let me know if you try it!
