Easy Carcassonne biscuits

Easy Carcassonne biscuits

Posted on July 24, 2023July 24, 2023 by jenny

We are a family who love to play board games together. We love to review the latest family board game, we play board games and also play board games on our phones when we are apart! Yes, we love board games and try to find out the latest board game cafe too! Carcassonne is one of our favourite tile playing games so we upped our game by creating our own easy Carcassonne biscuits to enjoy whilst playing.

Easy Carcassonne biscuits

I used a simple biscuit recipe to first of all make my biscuits. I followed a recipe on BBC Good Food for ‘simple iced biscuits’ which we’ve used a few times and always works well. when the dough was ready we prepared the work top with some parchment paper for rolling out our dough, a rolling pin and the Carcassonne meeple cookie cutter. My husband made me the cookie cutter on his 3D printer.

There was enough dough to make 20 meeple biscuits.

We baked them in the oven for 10 minutes until they were lovely and golden brown, then transferred them to a wire rack to cool down.

When we play Carcassonne we all have our favourite colour, so wanted to re-create them in biscuit form. Using ready-made icing in red, yellow, blue and black, we rolled out the icing and used our cookie cutter to cut out meeples.

Then used a small amount of icing to ‘glue’ them in place.

My daughter had a lot of fun cutting out her meeples and they made a really fun snack whilst we enjoyed a game of Carcassonne.

Have you ever played Carcassonne before?

I love working in our kitchen and baking cookies for the boys. It is because they appreciate my baking and often, the little ones would give a hand or two. Baking is a beautiful experience especially when shared with loved ones.
