I love crafting with toys and I also love to make personalised gifts. Today I’m combining the two to make a fun Playmobil snow globe which I think would make a lovely handmade gift. It also makes a fun Christmas ornament. I’ve crafted with Playmobil figures before. The children love Playmobil so I’ve used vintage ones – Playmobil clock, Playmobil jar toppers, and vintage Playmobil figure badge.

How to make a Playmobil family snow globe decoration

First choose a selection of Playmobil figures to represent each member of your family. We have a huge selection of Playmobil figures so I asked the children to find me suitable figures. They even gave Big Brother an arm cast as earlier this year he broke his wrist.

I played around with the figures to make sure they fitted on the snow globe insert.

Then I marked the position of their feet on the insert so I would remember to put them. I used a hot glue gun to attach the Playmobil characters to the base of the snow globe.

I left the glue to dry fully overnight before pouring in enough fake snow to cover the base of the snow globe.

I love the way my Playmobil family snow globe decoration turned out. Playmobil figures are so bright and colourful that this makes a great handmade decoration. You could easily adapt it to your own family and even add the family pet!
