Every month I challenge myself to make the Mollie Makes magazine cover gift. I’ve subscribed since it first came out and have had a drawer full of unopened kits – but no more! I’ve been making more time for grown up crafting and I love to make the kits and hopefully try something new.
Mollie Makes Scandi Florals Hoop Kit
The kit with issue 76 of Mollie Makes was designed by Zeena Shah and contained 1x plastic embroidery hoop, printed cotton fabric, as well as embroidery threads (pink, aqua, coral, yellow and blue) and a sewing needle.
I gave the printed fabric a quick iron to remove the creases then popped it into the embroidery hoop. I followed the picture on the kit and used satin stitch to fill in the leaves and flowers.
I added some French knots and running stitches to complete the embroidery. It came together quite quickly and I managed to stitch it today in between everything else.
I love the colours and the simplicity of it the finished hoop. Let me know if you’ve stitched it too.

This looks super pretty and fun to make. I’ve never tried this before, but may pick up the magazine to give it a go!
This looks just so good and whilst it isn’t something I have the patience to do, I admire you x
This is the cutest craft ever – I have to say I do like the crafts that come with Mollie Makes – always really creative and fun

I know this is ages ago but I’m about to attempt this. I lost the instructions though so do I use the full 6 strands of the embroidery thread or split it?
I just checked and it looks like I used all 6 strands for mine. Enjoy making it!
