Monthly Make – May

Posted on May 26, 2011October 4, 2014 by jenny

I had a whopping 107 entries to my Sew, Mama, Sew giveaway. I loved reading everyone’s comments on what they would make with the Royal Wedding fabric and I am pleased to announce the winner is Sallie. Congrats, Sallie!

Is it too early to be thinking about Christmas? One of my favourite sewing books is Fa La La Felt and I can’t resist working my way through all the projects. I’ve made a lot of the patterns from it but these little felt gingerbread people really took my fancy! They were quick to make although I need to perfect the art of making their jaunty little hats.

This is my monthly make 2011 for May.

    Oh they are cute!

I’ll even forgive you for using the ‘C’ word in May!!

The book sounds fab, I must look it up, I love working with felt.

No, I love making Christmas decorations – they’re one of my favourite things to make too. In fact I finished one the other day, but didn’t dare share it in case I got shouted at! Cute gingerbread people 🙂

    Hiya
I’m just sending out a quick message to let people know their Faith Hope and Charity Swapping partners. Days of spreedsheet fiddling I tell you, if this works it’s going on my CV! I won’t have access to a PC from Tues 31st until June 6th – so any questions will have to wait til I get back I’m afraid. I’m going to put up a quick post on the rules before I go, but for now you can check out your partner’s blog and start figuring out what they might like.
Your swap partner is Simply Vintage at Vintage hearth

    Thanks for playing along!
