Monday Happy List {Week 353}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 353}

I finally bought myself a new bike last week. My husband and children all have their own bikes and have been going off on bike rides for the last year. I decided I wanted to join in and picked up a new bike from Halfords. I just need the weather to cool down a little so I can take it out!

My son had a great week at school enjoying the Year 6 Leavers Festival. Unfortunately both his residential trips in Year 5 and Year 6 were cancelled due to Covid so his school planned a fun week at school. They did all sorts of activities from go karting to nerf gun fights, a sleepover at school and a colour run. He was really tired by the end of the week but made some pretty cool memories to finish his time at Junior School.

My daughter has been having plenty of her own fun. Last week she had a couple of play dates with friends and the annual water fight at Cubs. She got soaked but had perfect weather for it and dried off quickly.

Headstone Manor Harrow

On Saturday we went to Headstone Manor and Museum in Harrow for the first time. Headstone Manor is a gorgeous building and the children loved exploring it and learning about the history of Harrow. We finished off our visit with a trip to the children’s playground and a lovely cool drink.

Yesterday we visited our local Ruislip Duck Pond Market. The weather was perfect for a walk around the different stalls and we picked up some delicious food for lunch. Then I finished a couple more blocks of my Summer Sampler whilst hiding from the sunshine.

Fingers crossed we get through the last week of term without bubbles bursting!

  1. I have not been on a bike in more years than I want to remember, I have heard of Headstone Manor but never been. The whole area is my husbands old ground and he knows it all very well

  2. I’m glad that your son enjoyed the leavers festival. It’s a shame he missed the year 5 and 6 trips. We missed one of those too and my daughter was gutted. COVID did affect so many things.

  3. Aw! That museum looks so quaint. And I love the little quilting piece – the colors are fab!
