Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me smile in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures.
Five Happy Things {Week 27/2025}
We went into London to see the play Operation Mincemeat at the Fortune Theatre. The play is based on the successful Second World War British intelligence deception operation aimed at misleading the German high command about the Allies’ planned invasion of Sicily. The play was performed by only 5 actors and was really entertaining.
I worked on my Cottage Garden Huswif and it’s lovely to pick up when I have a few moments. I’ve finished the cover and have been working on the pages. The instructions are easy to follow and it’s a nice craft project to have.
My daughter took part in another athletics competition, competing in the javelin. This was a school competition and she had a lot of fun.
We had a lovely social evening with my daughter and her Scout troop at their annual BBQ and awards evening. The weather was perfect so we were able to be outdoors and enjoy catching up with everyone.
The family came to my summer concert where we were singing a selection of English composers including Parry, Elgar and Finzi. The music was so pretty to learn and sing although I am looking forward to a break over the summer months.
What’s made you happy this week?
