Monday Happy List {Week 323}

Posted on December 21, 2020 by jenny

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 323}

We made it to the Christmas holidays. The last few weeks in the school I work in have been hard with so many staff and students sent home to isolate. I am happy to have a few weeks off to spend safely with my family. Now we’re in Tier 4 we won’t be able to do much but I’ve found a few new places to explore.

Have you started watching Christmas films yet? We started early this year. I loved Noelle on Disney+ which I watched with my daughter. We also watched Home Alone and Home Alone 2 as well as National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (which was full of jokes the children didn’t really understand!). Last night we started Die Hard which is the ultimate Christmas film! Check out my post on cheerful Christmas films to watch on Disney+ for more inspiration.

dissolving candy canes experiment

We tried a few Christmas STEM projects this week. We set up a dissolving candy canes experiment as we have so many candy canes. We grew our own Christmas trees on sponges, and set up fizzy cookie cutters which was a lot of messy fun. We all enjoyed doing something a little different, as well as some other Christmas crafting.

Our little house elves have been getting up to all sort of mischief this week. They re-created the Floor is Lava game, drew minions on our bananas, and played snow angels in marshmallows. Unfortunately our puppy got hold of one of the elves this week! Our pup is so naughty and we had to bandage our poor elf and put the pup on the Naughty List.

Have a great week everyone and Happy Christmas!

    We are also in Tier 4, so it is all christmas things at home. I watched Last Christmas the other day and loved it which is good as I purchased it rather than rent it

    We’re also in tier 4 so a lot of things have changed, I’m trying to stay positive and not think as much about it but it’s tough. I’ve finished work for Christmas now though which I am very happy about x

    I started watching Christmas films early. Not seen Noelle but I’ve seen Elf! Oh dear, I hope the elf was okay.

    The STEM projects sound fun, we have been watching a lot of Christmas movies too and just rewatching home alone.

    I saw Noelle on Disney+ last night and have decided that we need to watch it! We watched Muppets Christmas Carol last night!

    Your puppy is absolutely gorgeous! The STEM project sounds good. I’m going to binge watch Christmas films tonight
