Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List {Week 342}

stitched calendar

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 342}

I do love a Bank Holiday weekend! This weekend we have been catching up with lots of friends which has been amazing. We also visited our first car boot of the year. It’s been a long time since we went to a car boot but we decided to visit Denham car boot for a browse. We didn’t actually buy anything but the past year has shown us that we don’t really need much, but it was still nice to look round.

We’ve been treating ourselves to a takeaway every weekend since the first lockdown last March. We’ve been able to try some delicious dishes from around the world without leaving our own postcode. Our local pub has even had a few pop up food vans, and the food has been amazing. This weekend we decided to enjoy Afternoon Tea from Patisserie Brione in Eastcote. We’ve ordered from there a few times and have always enjoyed the savoury and sweet treats.

Cotton Clara Hoop Club

We’ve had a pretty crafty week. My daughter finally received her silver Blue Peter badge so now she and her older brother have a complete set (their Orange badges are a work in progress!). I’ve been doing a lot of embroidery lately so picked up my scalpel to do some paper cutting for a change. I treated myself to the latest Cotton Clara Hoop Club Box which was Box 8 and contained a sashiko panel to stitch.

I’m still reading and really enjoying The Dream Weavers by Barbara Erskine. It’s a great book and I’m enjoying following the story, which feels a little like a historical detective story. I picked up a few new embroidery books too, Thread Folk, Organza Hoop Art and Freshly Stitched which I am looking forward to reading.

Yesterday we visited out local Farmers Market for some food. We have our favourite stalls and the weather was amazing which meant we had a lovely time browsing all the stalls. It’s still taking place out in the open air in the old orchard which is actually a lovely location (when the weather is good).

Have a great week everyone!

    I think with carboots sometimes just to get out and be among people can be nice. I’ve not been to a farmers market in ages.

    Great crafting and well done on the badge! Glad you managed to get out and see people! We haven’t been to a car boot in years but love them!

    I really want to go to a farmer’s market and buy some more fresh produce. We’ve just signed up to get milk from a local dairy which will be nice x

    I would love to visit a farmers market and have a browser. I don’t think we have one local.

    Sounds like another awesome week! I am so craving an afternoon tea right now so I am super jealous. We don’t seem to have many Farmers Markets round here – would love to go to one.

    I can not remember the last time I actually went out to enjoy afternoon tea but a nice takeaway for the weekend sounds great.
