Monday Happy List {Week 343}

Posted on May 10, 2021 by jenny

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 343}

On Bank Holiday Monday we finally got round to visiting Chenies Manor House and Gardens. The weather was pretty cold and windy but we still enjoyed exploring the gardens. We are looking forward to going back when the Tudor Manor House is able to re-open to visitors.

I couldn’t resist taking my pup when I went to vote in the local elections last week. It was a good excuse for an evening walk and made for a perfect Instagram pic.

I completed the sashiko table runner I was working on. It was such a lovely piece of embroidery to stitch and I could easily have done double the length. I picked up an old embroidery hoop I hadn’t finished and also completed a paper cut.

Over the weekend we re-potted our little peas. They’ve been growing well in our little greenhouse but were ready to be planted out. We also re-potted our sunflowers which we’re going to plant around the garden to find the sunniest spot. Our garden is in pretty good shape so far this year, we just need some more sunshine so we can sit out and enjoy it.

    The Tudor Manor house sounds great. I can’t wait for things like this to start opening up again.

      I love the look of your paper cut! I have not been brave enough to go out in the weather this week – it’s sunny one moment and then raining in the next! Glad you got out and about though.

    What an interesting looking tree! We have been so busy in the garden too. There is so much to do at the minute and it’s so wonderful to see things growing.

    Chenies Manor House and Gardens look like a fab place to visit. We need to repot our sunflowers so thank you for reminding me.

    Looks like you had a busy week, with replanting and visiting the Manor House. I need to get more done in my garden as soon as all this rain stops

    Oh wow, well done on growing pees. We can’t seem to grow anything without it dying.
