Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. This is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Five Happy Things {Week 470}

Last week I got a new job! I found it a little stressful as I hate the interview process but I was so happy to be offered the job! It’s at the same organisation but a promotion and permanent, which is what I wanted. To celebrate we went out for an amazing meal at Metro Italia on Ruislip High Street, followed by ice cream at La Dolce Vita.

The dog went to the groomers for his regular tidy up but he came back looking a little strange. I think they cut him a little short as he’s been shivering all week. We may have to find a new groomer, and buy him a little jumper to keep him warm.

We decided to replace our family bathroom so we spent the day visiting bathroom showrooms for inspiration. It’s quite a small room so we’re looking at underfloor heating so we can get rid of the towel rail and save space. I’ve been searching Pinterest for ideas which has been fun.

On Saturday we used our National Trust membership to visit Cliveden for lunch. The weather was amazing so it was very busy, but we enjoyed a lovely dog walk around the grounds. I opted for Moroccan style vegetable soup which was amazing – I’m going to have to try and find a recipe to re-create it at home.

My kids both came home with handfuls of Scout badges they had been awarded. I spent a happy hour stitching them on their uniforms.
