Crafts for kids to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Crafts for kids to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

I’ve already shared some ideas for crafts for toddlers to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee later this year so I thought I would follow that with a post full of ideas for kids to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. I popped to the shops this morning and my local craft store had a display of craft materials for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. As you can imagine, everything was red, white and blue, but sadly there was not a single craft idea! Hopefully some of these ideas will inspire you if you’re looking for fun crafts for kids to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this summer.

Craft stick union flag craft – this craft stick union flag is also be perfect for celebrating St George’s Day!

Recycled wooden pallet union flag – I love an upcycle project and we painted an old wooden flag to make a huge union flag for the garden

Union flag painted rocks – a few years ago my kids were always painting and hiding painted stones, these union flag painted rocks were one of my favourites

Decorated gingerbread crowns – we can’t resist baking some delicious gingerbread and these crowns were fun to make and decorate (and eat!)

Queen Elizabeth II sun catcher – it was fun to make this special Queen’s 90th birthday sun catcher craft which we’ll be putting out again this year

Toilet roll mini crowns – the toddler made these when he was 3 and they remain one of my favourite crafts, older kids will enjoy making them too

Send a card to Queen Elizabeth II – did you know anyone can send a card to the Queen? The Queen is shown almost all of her correspondence on a daily basis by one of her Private Secretaries. Make sure you address your card to Her Majesty at the following address:

Her Majesty The Queen
Buckingham Palace
London SW1A 1AA

Royal crown Stem Skittle experiment for kids – my daughter can’t resist a little science at home and we enjoyed making our very own Royal version of the classic Stem skittle experiment

I hope you have enjoyed our selection of the Queens Platinum Jubilee crafts which are perfect for small hands to do. Let me know if you try any of them!
