He was recently sent two new Minecraft STEM Challenge books to read and tell you about – Build a City and Build a Theme Park. 5 Minecraft treats for your Minecraft party bag

    Earlier this year we threw a Minecraft themed party for my son. He just adores Minecraft, as do his friends, so this seemed like a great way to celebrate him turning another year older. He enjoyed helping me plan his Minecraft birthday party. Thankfully we found lots of ideas we could adapt on Pinterest. 5 Minecraft treats for your Minecraft party bag It’s not a party without some kind of party bag and I had great fun putting together Minecraft party bags for our guests. Inside each bag I placed a bottle of Creeper Juice and a piece of Minecraft…

    Pin the tail on the Minecraft pig {a Minecraft party game}

    It’s taking me a while to write down all the fun activities we organised for my sons Minecraft party. Luckily the weather was ok so they could make full use of the DIY Nerf Target board we made for the garden. In case the weather was inclement we made a few activities to take place indoors. One of these was Pin the tail on the (Minecraft) pig. Pin the tail on the Minecraft pig My son just loves Minecraft so I got him to design the board. He drew the pig and painted it. I then cut it out and…

    DIY Ghast pinata for a Minecraft birthday party

    A few weeks ago my son wanted a Minecraft birthday party. He helped me plan a lot of the food and activities but I knew I wanted a few surprises for him. One evening I made a simple DIY Ghast pinata for a Minecraft birthday party. It was pretty straightforward but I thought I would share it here on my blog. Edible Minecraft mushrooms for a Minecraft birthday party

    Preparing food for a Minecraft birthday party is so much fun. Recently my son had a Minecraft themed birthday. I found it pretty hard to find any Minecraft themed goodies so settled for “pixel” themed items from eBay. I managed to find a matching tablecloth, plates, napkins and cups, which all looked really good. With a group of hungry boys I had to make sure I had some fun food to serve them. There was Pizza (definitely not a Minecraft food!) but also dough balls for bread rolls, watermelon slices, twiglets for wood, red sweet hearts for health, chocolate chip cookies,…

    Easy Minecraft Easter eggs

    Last weekend we threw my 8 year old a Minecraft themed birthday party. I had so much fun planning the food, drinks, games and party bags. I had some Minecraft tattoos left over and decided to make some simple Minecraft Easter eggs to use as decorations. My 8 year old was quick to tell me that there are no eggs in Minecraft so these are spawn eggs – perfect for those who play the Creative mode in Minecraft and want to spawn good or bad creatures. Gingerbread iron golem biscuits

    I’ve completely fallen in love with my little copy of Gingerbread Wonderland by Mima Sinclair. It’s packed full of inspiration, recipes and ideas for some amazing gingerbread treats. I love the recipe for Light Gingerbread Dough and used it successfully to make our gingerbread Snowman and Snowdog biscuits a couple of week ago. The children really wanted to bake this weekend so we used the recipe to make some gingerbread iron golem biscuits. Both my children love Minecraft so this was a fun activity for them.
