    Exploring Sky Garden with kids

We’ve had some great days out in London recently. There are so many things to do in London with kids of all ages and we love discovering new places, especially when they are low cost or free. Exploring Sky Garden Sky Gardens is free to visit, and a fun place to explore with kids when you’re next in London. It’s actually on the 35th floor of The Fenchurch Building, which is affectionately known as the Walkie Talkie, due to its unusual shape. We booked our free tickets on line (although you can also just turn up and queue). We took…

Exploring the Thames foreshore with kids

We love living in London and go as often as we can. There is always so much to see and do and a day out in London doesn’t need to cost a lot of money. A few weeks ago I took my daughter in London for a day out. We visited Sky Garden (for free), walked around the wild flower moat of the Tower of London (not free) and tried to visit as much of the chimpanzee sculpture trail as we could (free!). Exploring the Thames foreshore with kids We bought some sandwiches for lunch and couldn’t decide where to…

Superbloom at the Tower of London

It’s been a while since our last visit to the Tower of London. However, when I heard that over 20 million seeds from 29 flower species have been planted in the moat around the Tower of London to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of  The Queen, I knew we had to visit. Luckily Little Sis heard all about the huge slide going down into the moat, and wanted to come too. Superbloom at the Tower of London I booked our tickets online and we hopped on the underground into London. You can actually walk around the outside of the Tower of…

Exploring The Queen and her Corgis trail

Yesterday we went into London to explore The Queen and her Corgi’s trail. The trail was set up to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, celebrating the Queen’s closest companions, her fleet of corgis. The trail runs throughout the London Heritage Quarter,  from Victoria Station to Westminster and the Northbank. Exploring The Queen and her Corgis trail Did you know that Queen Elizabeth owned her first corgi when she was just seven, it was called Dookie.
