A few weeks ago I told you about Series 2 Transformer BotBots. These teeny tiny bots are a rare type of Transformers robot called BotBots. They are around 2cm tall and change from totally normal stuff to adventurous little robots in a few easy steps. Transformer BotBots My children just love collecting them. BotBots can disguise themselves as random everyday objects but then are transformed which means there are two ways to play! There are over 60 new characters to collect in Series 2 (including 10 rares) as well as three new tribes – Swag Stylers, Music Mob and Spoiled…

I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Despite this being a quick 5 week half term, I’m finding it is going very slowly. We’re counting down the days until it’s half term! Five Happy Things {Week 241} It felt like last week was pretty quiet. My daughter spent much of last week sitting her Year 2 SATs and…

Disclosure – guest post in collaboration with Localgrapher Rod and Marie had been married for over 50 years and had enjoyed many trips together when they were younger. Both in their late 60s, the couple knew that their days of backpacking adventures were over, but they still wanted to have one more big trip together to celebrate their relationship and the years they shared. The True Beauty of Paris While they had traveled to many places in Europe, they had never made it to Paris, so they decided to plan a week-long summer vacation to the capital of France. Marie…

I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. It seems strange to not start the week with a Bank Holiday but it means I actually get to enjoy my day off alone. I think I’ll be catching up with the washing and cleaning but never mind! Five Happy Things {Week 240} Last Monday we got to enjoy some extra…

When we returned from our week in Devon we decided to stop off at the Sandham Memorial Chapel. We are National Trust members and I really want to get our money’s worth and visit as many properties as we can this year. The Sandham Memorial Chapel was halfway on our journey home, so we decided to stop for a picnic and explore the Chapel and paintings of Stanley Spencer. Sandham Memorial Chapel and Stanley Spencer’s paintings “They don’t like war pictures, they rather look like Heaven …” Nestled in a quiet corner of Hampshire, Sandham Memorial Chapel hides an unexpected…

A few weeks ago the children were sent a surprise package (thanks Hasbro for giving us the fab mailer!) which contained a selection of the new Transformer BotBots. Have you heard of them? The collectable BotBots toys are around 2cm tall and change from totally normal stuff to adventurous little robots in a few easy steps. My son was absolutely delighted to receive some new toys to play with! Transformer BotBots Not long ago and somewhere nearby…a shopping mall was closed for the night, when a strange glowing mist, filled with TRANSFORMERS energy known as ENERGON, came down from the…

Photo by Alicia Petresc on Unsplash I’m so pleased that we have a new Royal baby to coo over. Whilst I think the name is a little ordinary I’m sure the new Royal baby will be anything but with parents such as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. As a mum myself I can’t help but love seeing pictures of a new baby and it always takes me back to when my own two were born. Children grow so quickly! It’s obvious and a cliche but so true. Not that being pregnant went any less slowly. I was so happy when my pregnancies…

The Bank Holiday weekend was a great opportunity to catch up on some reading. We spent yesterday clearing out the children’s playhouse of toys, and turning it into a chill out den for them. They hoovered, put up posters and added a little desk and chair and beanbag. It was lovely to see them enjoying their playhouse and I hope they spend lots of time in it as the weather warms up. We were recently #gifted a copy of Doodle Cat Wears a Cape by Kat Patrick and Lauren Farrell. This is the third book in this cheeky and beloved series.…
