Taking the Series 2 Transformers #BotBotsChallenge

Transformer BotBots

A few weeks ago the children were sent a surprise package (thanks Hasbro for giving us the fab mailer!) which contained a selection of the new Transformer BotBots. Have you heard of them? The collectable BotBots toys are around 2cm tall and change from totally normal stuff to adventurous little robots in a few easy steps. My son was absolutely delighted to receive some new toys to play with!

Not long ago and somewhere nearby…a shopping mall was closed for the night, when a strange glowing mist, filled with TRANSFORMERS energy known as ENERGON, came down from the sky and covered the mall. When the Energon hit objects inside, they came to life as mischievous little TRANSFORMERS robots. These robots hide in plain sight at the mall, disguised as the stuff we use everyday.

We were sent a great selection of Transformer BotBots. These bots can hide in plain sight as everyday objects, meaning no one knows what’s a bot and what’s not! They are fun to transform and we found the instructions were really handy for telling us more about the characters and how to transform them.

We were also dared to take the #BotBotsChallenge – to find the rare characters, the ones who love to hide!

The idea is that you start a timer just before you open your first package and see how fast you can find a rare character. As soon as you find a rare 3-Star Bot you stop the timer and share your time on social using #BotBotsChallenge. We were given a sheet to help us identify the rare characters.

#BotBotsChallenge characters

Both my children were excited to take part in the challenge and we made a little video which we could share. You can see that most of the characters in the Series 2 pack are easily seen through the packaging. One character is hidden behind the green ball and these contain a mystery character, along with a guide to how to transform it.

We were sent so many and the kids had so much fun opening them up and discovering all the different categories. There are 60 new characters to collect in Series 2 (including 10 rares) and three new tribes – Swag Stylers, Music Mob and Spoiled Rottens.

You can buy Transformer BotBots in single or 8 packs from all good toy shops, priced from £2.99.
