Do you have an Elf that visits on December 1st? We have two and I love coming up with ideas for them to get up to fun and mischief around the house. This year our house elves will be coming early so that they can quarantine in their very own Elf Isolation House. I toyed with the idea of them being in quarantine from December 1st but we want to have some fun with them, so they will be arriving early, all ready for adventures during December. One of my favourite things to do at this time of year is to watch a Christmas film. The days are shorter and colder and thanks to this second Lockdown, we are happier to stay in and snuggle up with a film at the weekend. Earlier this year we were gifted Disney+ which the kids just love. There is so much familiar content and well as lots of new things to discover. Cheerful Christmas movies to watch on Disney+ With so many of our usual Christmas activities cancelled this year we will be making our fun in different ways. Swap…

This house believes. Christmas is a magical time and this Christmas I will be pulling out all the stops to make sure my children have a magical Christmas. I’m not sure if we’ll be able to see family and friends, but we can still believe in the magic of this time of year. Christmas starts for us on the 1st December. We’re not allowed to even mention the word Christmas before the end of November due to my daughter’s birthday. However that doesn’t mean that I’m not busy planning behind the scenes during October and November! Christmas magic with Elfie’s…

Last year my children asked for Advent calendars I just couldn’t find in the shops. They asked for a Pokemon and Minecraft Advent calendar. They’ve always enjoyed opening their Advent calendars and I didn’t want to disappoint them, especially as they still believe the Elf on the Shelf makes them for them. As we couldn’t buy the Advent calendars we wanted we decided to make our own re-useable advent calendars that could be used again. Our idea was for a simple wooden box frame with 24 little Advent bags hanging from three wooden dowels which would contain Pokemon toys for…

It felt like it was quite hard to get back into the swing of things and I’m happy that I have a few days to relax at home. December is always a crazy month for families but I still have a few Christmas activities to post. Last month we had fun creating our free Elf on the Shelf twister printable which we wanted to share with you. {free printable} Elf on the Shelf Twister game We’ve had our Elf on the Shelf for a few years…

I love sharing the resources and activities that I do with my own children. We spend much more time at home over winter so I love to have a few new activities to keep them busy. They both enjoy sitting down and colouring, especially after a day at school, and my Christmas gingerbread house colouring page is one of their favourites.
