Are you planning on going to see the new Ghostbusters film? I have fond memories of the original films and our family sat down and watched both of them a couple of weeks ago. My children really enjoyed the films and were so excited to see Ecto-1, aka the Ghostbusters car, when we went shopping at the weekend. As you know, we are Playmobil Playologists so were really excited to hear that Playmobil have announced an exciting licensing collaboration based on the original Ghostbusters brand! The new Ghostbusters toy range from Playmobil will be its first ever to include licensed…

We’re surrounded by sporting events at the moment which has had a great influence on our crafting. So far this year we’ve had Euro 2016, Wimbledon and the Tour de France 2016 and we’ve still got many more to come. Did you know that athletes in ancient games didn’t receive medals like they do today? Instead they received a wreath crown made of olive tree leaves, or later from the leaves of a bay laurel. I thought we should try and make our own paper version so today we’re sharing our paper plate laurel wreath craft for kids. Paper plate…

Life has been busy lately which is why it’s taken me a while to get my thoughts written down about Blogtacular. Blogtacular describes itself as “the place for bloggers whose hearts beat with creativity to come together to meet, share and inspire.” I’m not sure that really sounds like me but I went in 2015 and had a great time. Last year I went on the Photowalk with Xanthe Berkeley, enjoyed the talks at the conference and took home an amazing goody bag. When tickets came up for sale this year I bought another one, even though I don’t really…

As I lay in bed last night I realised that for the first time in over a year I hadn’t written or published my weekly Happy List post. It’s not that I didn’t have anything to share, life is full and busy, but I was actually living life rather than blogging about it. So, slightly later than usual – it’s time for my weekly Monday Tuesday Happy List, a chance for me to record some of my favourite things from the previous week. Enjoyed probably isn’t the word but I thought the commemorations for the anniversary of the Battle of…

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a subscription box review but a few weeks ago I was offered a Japan Funbox. Japan Funbox is a service that delivers hand-packed boxes filled with Japanese candies to customers worldwide. I’ve tried a few similar subscription boxes and they are always loads of fun so I was happy to try this. Last week our Japan Funbox arrived in a large box that didn’t fit through the letter box. I really liked the picture on the box and managed to wait until my children got home from school to open it. This is…

Earlier this month we were invited to spend a morning at KidZania London which is based at Westfield London Shopping Centre. KidZania is a city for 4-14 year olds with more than 60 real life, ever changing, role play adventures and they’ve just turned 1! It’s a brilliant day out for kids, blending learning and reality with entertainment. Your experience lasts for 4 hours and is a unique role-play experience where kids learn financial literacy, careers, teamwork, independence and real-life skills. You can read more about our fun experience over here. My children are 4 and 6 are loved every…

We really are on a count down to the Summer holidays now. The children have a few weeks left and the calendar is filled with parents’ evening, class swap days and (my least favourite day of the year) Sports Day. Whether you’re at home or abroad you may be on the look out for some things to keep your children occupied. On our recent trip on the cruise ship Ventura I packed a few little craft kits in our suitcase. They really didn’t take up much room and were perfect for that crafty fix my children seem to need on…

My book shelves are pretty full, and double stacked in places, but when I heard about Cath Kidston Teatime I really wanted to treat myself to a copy. I have all the Cath Kidston books as I love looking through them, but so far they’ve all been craft books. Cath Kidston Teatime: 50 cakes and bakes for every occasion is a baking book and I was excited to see a copy. Teatime is a British tradition that has become a staple the world over. Afternoon tea brings people together over sumptuous scones and sponges, elegant sandwiches, marvellous macarons and delectable…

I don’t know about you but my children love small collectable toys. Perhaps it’s their size, or the fact they can buy them with their pocket money, but my 4 year old was delighted to hear that Num Noms Series 2 have arrived! Earlier this year we were sent some Num Noms Series 1 which she loves, so we were excited to hear that they are back with even more tasty flavours! Fans of Num Noms can now add to their collections with savoury flavours inspired by brunch dishes, such as Becca Bacon, delicious pizza flavours including Mozza Rella, sophisticated…
