Starting my week with the Weekly Edit is a ritual I’ve kept for years. It’s my favourite Monday morning anchor—a chance to slow down, celebrate the ‘small wins,’ and gather the smiles from the week behind us. Part reflection and part record-keeping, it’s my way of documenting our family’s adventures before the next chapter begins.
The Weekly Edit {Week 4/2026}
The oldest teen received his latest mock GCSE results and had an interview for Sixth Form. He is growing up so fast and it’s exciting watching him mature into a lovely young man.
The youngest teen was picked to play in her school netball match. Unfortunately it didn’t go very well but I love that she continues to show up and take part. She also got great results as parents evening so I was really proud of her.
My husband and I went out for a special Burns Nights dinner. We did this last year too and I love that we are starting a new (adults only) tradition. We made haggis sausage rolls, which were amazing for a taste of Burns Night at home.
We had a day in London yesterday. I wanted to learn more about Creativity in Conflict and Confinement at the Imperial War Museum, especially the new Liberty fabrics which had been designed with Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe. Unfortunately they had sold out of the fabric in the gift shop (which my bank card was grateful for). We went for some lunch at Draughts Board Game cafe at Waterloo and played Hues and Cues.
Last week I finished the sewing project in my winter Craftpod sub box. It’s a delightful felt and linen collage featuring a robin. I’m having difficulty deciding what to make next and I need to choose something to keep my hands busy
Until next week—find the joy in the little things
