Picking pumpkins at the Pop Up Farm

Picking pumpkins at the Pop Up Farm

Posted on October 7, 2021 by jenny

As soon as October comes I am ready to go pumpkin picking. This year our street is having a pumpkin carving competition and I wanted to make sure we had the best pumpkins. There was only one place to go to get them so we went pumpkin picking at the Pop Up Farm.

The Pop Up Farm is just outside London and a great trip for the family. It only seems like a few weeks ago we went to pick sunflowers but we were happy to go back to buy some pumpkins. We booked our tickets online, arrived at our time slot and ventured out to the pumpkin fields.

We were met with a really colourful display of pumpkins, the usual orange ones as well as a variety of different coloured pumpkins and squash. The kids loved filling the wheelbarrow and both chose a couple of pumpkins they could carve, as well as some smaller ones to display.

Just like on our last visit, there were some fun photo props dotted around the pumpkin fields. We loved the bath tub and piano. It definitely made for some quirky photo opportunities.

As you can see from our photos, the weather was amazing. We loved being outside and took the opportunity to take lots of photos.

After we had paid for our pumpkins we stopped for some warm drinks and snacks.

What a great place to visit with the kids, they have so much fun picking their own pumpkin and I like all the unusual photo props, like the bath!
