Blogger Board Game Club: Ticket to Ride

Blogger Board Game Club: Ticket to Ride

Posted on September 20, 2019September 11, 2022 by jenny

Now the kids are back to school we have resurrected our regular Friday night family game night. We are a family that loves to play games, board games or online games, it doesn’t really matter as long as it’s something we can do together. Our latest #gifted game from the Blogger Board Game Club was Ticket to Ride.

We reviewed Ticket to Ride Europe last year and it quickly became one of our favourite family board games. We soon added Ticket to Ride United Kingdom to our collection. It’s one of those games which is quite quick and easy to understand but you can take your time to hone your game tactics.

Blogger Board Game Club: Ticket to Ride

Ticket to Ride is a cross-country train adventure in which players collect and play matching train cards to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn.

Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets by connecting two distant cities, and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway.

Ticket to Ride

Ticket to Ride has quickly become a firm favourite in our house. It takes about 30 minutes to play (until the first player runs out of train carriages) and is one that we all enjoy. It’s quite fast-paced and fun as you try to claim your route across the game board.

I think this sounds perfect for my nephews, they would both love the level of detail within the game and if it takes an hour to play, that is some time out for my sister ha x
