I think a tuff pot must be one of the best products I ever bought. It gets used a lot, especially in the warmer months, and is the perfect size for both my children to use together. At the weekend my children got out their Fairy Busy Box for some small world play. The weather was lovely and warm and it was great to see them setting up the tuff spot for some fairy garden play.
Our Fairy Busy Box is actually overflowing (like every other toy box) but this meant they had plenty to keep them busy. It contains lots of small fairies as well as items of furniture, toadstools, animals and items to make the perfect fairy garden.
At first they set up different areas. in pride of place was our fairy plant pot which my daughter planted with her nanny recently. There was a sand area, pebble area, as well as a whole fairy village (thanks to MacDonald’s and their recent The Lost Village Smurf toys). These colourful little houses are actually perfect for a fairy village.
We have some lovely fairy toys so the children even set up a fairy washing line so the fairies could dry their washing!
I don’t think my children can ever play without water being involved. They added an off cut of wood and some water so their play session turned into a great sensory experience for them both. There were lots of different textures and materials.
Eventually the water ended up in the sand and the beautiful fairy village became a boggy mess. Thankfully it was all contained in the tuff spot and easy to clean up.

That sounds like so much fun! I so wish I could have played like this when I was a child, I was completely fascinated with fairies. Unfortunately my girls are not, but you’ve given me some inspiration. They love their Littlest Pet Shop figures and it would be great for them to play outside without losing them. I’m thinking they could make a whole world for them in a tuff spot.
Aww the washing line you have made is adorable. Lily has started really getting into fairys so I think I may have to start to do things like this too.

What a sweet and fun idea! Any little girl would love to play with this while dreaming of magical fairies. The ladybirds are absolutely adorable and it’s wonderful that everything is washes up nicely for the next time! x
Its good that the kids are learning whilst playing. This is such an interactive way to teach.
