I’ve mentioned a few times here that my children enjoy watching The Lion Guard on Disney Junior. The Lion Guard follows lion cub, Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he takes on the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands and the Circle of Life
Earlier this year we watched The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar and also took part in a fun Twitter Party for the new range of Lion Guard toys. My 4 year old loves Kion so was very happy to be sent the new The Lion Guard Leap ‘n’ Roar Kion from Just Play to review.
The Lion Guard Leap ‘n’ Roar Kion
Kion is not just a soft toy but an interactive soft toy that offers many different features. The Leap ‘n’ Roar Kion has 10 character sounds, including his trademark roar. You can pull Kion back onto his hind legs to make him pounce forward. With a motion sensor included in his nose, Kion will also roar as kids pass him by!
He’s quite cute and snuggly and I have to admit that my daughter loves him as an addition to her soft toy collection. She is one of those children that barely fits in her bed as it is so full of soft toys! It’s also a really fun toy and both children enjoy interacting with him. We don’t have many toys with sensors so it has been fun setting Kion off and watching him move. Parents will probably be glad to hear that he has an ‘off’ switch which means you can switch him off at night so there’s no danger of him roaring and waking up your little one!
My daughter already loved Kion but this has been a great toy for her to play with. Looking back at my photos over the last couple of weeks I can see that Kion has come to the library with us and away on holiday. He has stayed with us in hotels and shared chocolate biscuits whilst visiting the Grandparents. It’s pretty clear that my 4 year old loves her The Lion Guard Leap ‘n’ Roar Kion.
The Lion Guard Leap n Roar Kion is priced at £39.99 and available from www.smythstoys.com and Amazon (affiliate link).
