Cath Kidston holidays Monday Happy List Summer

Monday Happy List – Week 101

on the beach

Bank Holidays are extra special around here. The sun is shining and we are looking forward to an extra family day and hopefully a long overdue trip to the cinema to watch The BFG. I am also relishing the thought of my inbox having an extra quiet day 🙂

This morning I am bringing you my weekly Monday Happy List special Bank Holiday edition.

I mentioned that we are away for a few days. We started the week in Exeter, chasing rhinos around the city. We seem to pack an awful lot into weeks away which is both fun and exhausting. I’ve enjoyed looking over my photos from the last week with trips to the beach, a visit to the fairground, nice meals out and lots of sunshine.

My husband treated me to an iPad Mini upgrade which I think the children were pretty happy about. We use it mainly for long car journeys and my old one was very slow. He also bought me an Olympus Pen and I’m really enjoying using it. My photos are much brighter and clearer. Needless to say I’ve already put my new Cath Kidston camera strap on it.

I’ve been working with Baker Ross for a while now and was delighted to be featured as their Star Crafter of the Month on the Baker Ross newsletter. I was a little surprised to see one of my photos until I realised they were talking about me!

Wild Olive Around the House Stitching Club mini quilt

I packed some sewing projects and magazines to bring away with me and I’ve nearly finished my Wild Olive Around the House Stitching Club mini quilt. The final pattern is released tomorrow and I am looking forward to having something new to hang on my quilt gallery wall.

We booked in our new kitchen. This was a pretty major decision for us as the cost is exceeding what we spent on our wedding and honeymoon! Hopefully this will be a good investment in our house and help us sell it when we eventually move. It will be great to maximise the space we have and use it more effectively. I’m also looking forward to cupboard doors closing properly.

Have a great week everyone!
