    A few weeks ago we finally organised a visit to the Battle of Britain Bunker with our kids. It was a place we had wanted to visit since it opened. You must pre-book a tour of the bunker online, but it was free with our Hillingdon First card.     Iver Environment Centre is located in the Colne Valley between Uxbridge and Slough. It is one of four environmental education centres across the UK which are owned by the National Grid. Set up in 1990 the 4.5 acre site includes a poly tunnel rainforest, an orchard, woodland area with a fire pit, two allotments, mud kitchen, ponds and more. They run a series of educational events, family activities and volunteering opportunities.     Each year, Darts Farm grow fields of beautiful sunflowers and ask for donations to raise money for Hospicecare. We have been eagerly looking for somewhere to pick our own sunflowers.
