Although some of the children’s clubs have started, some haven’t for various reasons. I’m happy that we still get plenty of family time, something we all appreciated at the height of lockdown. We are a family that loves to play games together so we were excited to receive a bundle of family games to try. Our latest #gifted game from the Blogger Board Game Club was Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza.
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza
We love the fantastically named Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. Card games are hugely popular with us and this is one we like to take with us to the pub.
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza is filled to the brim with hand-slapping mayhem! As in Snap and Dobble, each player places a card from their hand face up into a community pile while saying taco/cat/goat/cheese/pizza in player sequence. When the card matches the mantra — boom! — everyone slaps their hand on the deck, with the last one to slap picking up the cards. Whoever rids themselves of cards first wins!.
There are some Special cards too, which adds to the fun of this game. If you place a narwhal, gorilla or groundhog card then everyone has to do a certain action, the last person who does this has to pick up the pile of cards.
The game ends when a player with no remaining cards is the first to correctly slap a match or special card!
We thought this was a really fun family game. It takes only seconds to learn the rules and is great for working on processing speed and visual perception skills.
