d20 Uxbridge Board Game Cafe

d20 Uxbridge Board Game Cafe

A few weeks ago we visited our local Board Game Cafe, d20 Uxbridge Board Game Cafe. If the name sounds familiar that’s because they have another branch we’ve previous visited, d20 Watford.

The Uxbridge branch can be found down Windsor Street which is the prettiest street in Uxbridge. It’s full of independent shops and the perfect place for a board game cafe. It’s at the furthest end of the street, away from Uxbridge town centre, but still only a few minutes from Uxbridge underground station.

There are at least two rooms at d20 so we picked a table near to the games library and tried to decide what to play first, They have a great selection of over 130 games, including all our favourites, such as Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride.

Ours was a family visit so we had our two children (aged 11 and 13) and the dog – yes, we love a dog-friendly cafe.

My son picked the first game – The Isle of Cats. To be honest this was too complicated for our 2 hour time slot. Although we got the game out and set up the rules were loooong and we decided to put it back and choose an easier game.

Next up was Monopoly London Underground Edition. We didn’t need to read the rules of this game and enjoyed playing a slightly different version to our classic one. There was a bit of cheating with the Bank and everyone enjoyed it.

There was just time for a quick game of Disney Trivia which my daughter chose. It was quick and easy to play.

We ordered shakes and snacks whilst we played and found lots of games we want to try on another visit. Our 2 hour time slot flew by and we could have extended but had other things to do.

d20 Uxbridge can be found at 21a Windsor Street, Uxbridge, UB81AB. Book online and find out more about their special events.

I remember, it was our third son’s birthday and we found a place with food and board games. We indeed had fun, trying the board games we want. After that, we bought a lot of board games for our home use.

Love this board game cafe personally as I’m a board game lover, so can spent time with friends to enjoy various board game & at the same time catch up with friends. I wish I have a similar cafe at my place too. You’re lucky. Cheers SiennyLovesDrawing
