Monday Happy List

Sunday Happy Things {Week 417}

Autumn Craftpod hoop

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. I’m mixing things up a little by posting this weekly post on Sunday instead of Monday!

Sunday Happy Things {Week 417}

My daughter moved up from Cubs to Scouts last week. She was so excited to receive her final few Challenge badges as well as her Chief Scout’s Silver Award.

We went to a special screening of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile in Leicester Square this morning. The film is based on the book Lyle, Lyle Crocodile by Bernard Waber. Lyle lives with the Primm family in the house on East 88th Street in New York City. Lyle ends up at the Zoo until the son convinces him to show the world how special he is. It’s a really fun and uplifting film which some great songs.

Whilst we were in the West End we took the opportunity to visit the Lego Store which has recently re-opened after an expansion and refurbishment. It is now the biggest Lego Store in the world, and celebrates our heroes and history with a life-size Aston Martin DB5 which you can sit in, a double-decker red London bus, Shakespeare statue, and a huge tribute to the Wizarding World which includes a fun Gringotts Bank scene.

I made time for a lot of crafting last week. I finished the forage hoop from my Autumn Craftpod sub box, as well as a hoop from a previous Craftpod box I had squirrelled away.

Halloween meringue ghosts

We’ve started early on our Halloween activities. My daughter decorated some gingerbread skeletons and my son made ghost meringues. Our house is full of Halloween treats (already!).

    Well done to your daughter on her move up to scouts, and all those halloween treats sound lovely. I have seen Lyle Lyle Crocodile advertised and want to see it

    I haven’t been to the lego store since it reopened so I need to make a trio. I have seen quite a few adverts for Lyle Lyle Crocodile, glad it was good x
