Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. I’m mixing things up a little by posting this weekly post on Sunday instead of Monday!
Sunday Happy Things {Week 416}
September flew by thanks to the kids going back to school. It’s hard to believe they’ve already enjoyed three weeks of the new term. Little Sis passed her swimming lessons with flying colours which she was really pleased about – although I think she enjoyed spending every afternoon at the swimming pool instead of the classroom.
My Autumn Craftpod subscription box arrived last week which was a pleasant surprise. Inside were two lovely sewing projects: an autumnal collage hoop and a zipped pouch. I love a challenge and both projects were a little outside my comfort zone but I’ve started both of them.
We finally managed to watch Bullet Train which was outrageously funny. We are looking forward to making time for Hocus Pocus 2, although I want to re-watch Hocus Pocus first. The film inspired us to get Halloween crafting already! Halloween is such a fun time of year and we’ve already got quite a collection of mini pumpkins around the house.
I finished reading Cornish Clouds and Silver Lining Skies by Ali McNamara. I’ve been trying to read more on my commute and it was an easy read.
Yesterday we visited our local farmers market for the first time in ages. We took our dog and he was given lots of dog treats and met lots of other dogs. The weather was so beautiful and my daughter enjoyed climbing the trees. There were some great food stalls and we picked up a few treats to get us through the week!

October 6, 2022 at 2:54 pmSwimming lessons are really important and in most cases, kids tend to enjoy them. Mine want to do them too but it’s hard to find the time. Well done to your little one for passing x
