Today the sun is shining at long last. It even feels a tiny bit warm but ssshh, I don’t want to jinx the weather just yet. With a touch of Spring in the air I thought it was a great time to have some after school fun with my daughter and create a hand print bird. She loves to use her hands and I think this kind of craft makes a great seasonal keepsake too.
Spring bird hand print craft
We used:
Yellow card
Orange craft sticks
Yellow cupcake case
Googly eyes
Bostik Glu Dots
The first thingĀ we did was to draw around my 6 year olds hands on a piece of yellow card.
I cut them out whilst she sorted out the craft supplies.
She glued the craft sticks into a triangle using the Bostik Fine & Wide Glu Pen. Then attached the yellow triangle to the craft stick triangle using more glue.
I cut another orange craft stick into two pieces and we attached them to the bottom of the triangle with Bostik glu dots. We attached the cut out hands/wings to the back of the frame, holding them in place with glu dots. To finish off our Spring bird we made a little head using a cupcake cake, googly eyes and an orange sticker. We stuck this to the top of the frame using more glu dots.
We’ve written my daughter’s name and year on the back of the frame. She is growing so quickly but this makes a lovely reminder of all the fun crafts that we do together.
Disclosure – we were sent some of these craft products as we are Bostik Family Craft Bloggers
