How to make a paper plate gnome

This is a great craft for kids who love gnomes. My children love cheeky little gnomes, especially the ones who hide behind their hats. We used a white paper plate for the base of this craft, placing it on a sheet of coloured red card to guide us as we drew a pointed hat. My daughter cut out the hat and attached it to the paper plate face using Bostik PVA Glue.

Whilst this was drying we got out the Bostik Foam Pads, attaching them to the back of the pre-cut holly and ivy shapes, which she then attached to the top of the red hat.

She decided to add a nose to her face so we found a sheet of pink foam and she drew around a bottle, cutting it out with scissors. We applied more foam pads to the back of the nose before placing it in the middle of the paper plate, half of it hidden beneath the red hat.

The last thing we did was to cut around the lower edge of the paper plate, about 4 cms into the plate. This was to give our gnome a bit of a beard!

Looks great, really simple to do which is good for my kids, less for them to get flustered about. With a bit of string could hang them
