Schleich Croco Jungle Research Station

Schleich Croco Jungle Research Station

Posted on October 6, 2017October 7, 2017 by jenny

The new Schleich Croco jungle research station is the ideal starting point for all Wild Life adventures. This awesome playset includes a big crocodile skull and integrated secret hiding place, the research centre as well as a viewing platform.

This is an amazing set with so much play potential. You can probably imagine how excited my children were to see it and build it. This is a huge playset with lots of different parts, perfect for hours of imaginative play. It does require some building but we found the instruction booklet was great. I was able to leave my 7 year old to put it together whilst I got on with making dinner!

According to the Schleich website you can “set off on a research mission in the jungle and discover rare species, look after injured animals and find the secret treasure in the CROCO skull!”.

The playset is packed full of features, including a huge croco tooth, the upper jaw can be opened and closed or removed. There is a secret passage leading to the treasure chamber as well as a hiding place in the croco tooth. You can clip on the viewing platform with a secret trapdoor into the treasure chamber.

As you would expect this set is of exceptional quality. It was very well packaged although we found one of the small plastic “teeth” holding the croco skull playset had broken off in transit. Fortunately this did not affect play at all.

Once my son had put all the different parts together he was able to enjoy hours of imaginative, open-ended play. I love the fact that there is no right or wrong way to play with Schleich toys. It is easy to see how they prompt imaginative play, and they are definitely educational too!

Take a look at our unboxing and tour video here:

The playset includes a lot of parts: a large CROCO skull with secret hiding place, a jungle research building, a Ranger Tom figure, crocodile, orang-utan, black panther, Asian elephant calf, hoist container, net, viewing platform with trapdoor, radar, mast with flag, hammock, folding chair, cage with dividing wall, treasure chest with 20 gold pieces, crystal skull, torches, treasure map, fire pit, tripod with hook, kettle, aluminium box, spade, axe, survival knife, binoculars with carrying strap, plates, camping cups, satellite phone and laptop.

My children kept making up their own little stories involving the ranger and the playset. It is a big playset, and you can add to it with more toys from the Wild Life range. It includes lots of small accessories which make it feel very realistic and we loved the four animals which were included. It is easy to see how any Schleich animal could be added for even more fun!

The Schleich Croco Jungle Research Station is priced at £99.99 and perfect for ages 3 and over. You can see the full collection at www.schleich-s.co.uk
