Schleich’s The First Giants Dinosaurs range

Posted on February 18, 2016July 8, 2016 by jenny

Last year we told you about Schleich’s new range of prehistoric animals and shared a fun craft idea, DIY dinosaur fossils using the Schleich mini dinosaurs from the range. We love our Schleich toys so were pleased to be sent the new dinosaurs from Schleich’s The First Dinosaurs range.

For 2016, Schleich has gone back to the era when prehistoric creatures first walked our planet with the introduction of ‘The First Dinosaurs’.  The collection includes five of the first well-known dinosaurs, each of which come complete with moving jaw and educational booklet which contains facts about each dinosaur.

Schleich Dilophosaurus toy

The species includes the Dilophosaurus, Dimetrodon, Barapasaurus, Herrerasaurus and Dunkleosteus and the RRPs range from £7.99 to £14.99.  The toy range is aimed at children aged from 4 to 8 years old.

My 5 year is studying dinosaurs next term so he was really excited to open a parcel containing these. Although we’ve never seen a dinosaur (except in the Natural History Museum) we thought they looked pretty realistic and frightening. The information booklet was interesting and a great place to start learning more about these creatures.

As with all Schleich figures, they are great for enhancing learning and I know both my children will have lots of imaginative play with these.

My 5 year old is studying dinosaurs this term for school. He is loving learning about all the different dinosaurs. These would be fab addition to his dinosaur collection he has at the moment.

The toys are just amazing and they almost look real (if dinosaurs were that size). anyways, that makes me feel more Jurassic 🙂 I wouldn’t also mind adding it to my toy collection.
    Thanks
