You can tell the weather must be bad if I’m back with another post today. Have your children caught the Pokémon Go bug? If so, I have a quick and easy craft with our Pokémon Go Poké ball pom poms. In case you didn’t know, a Poké Ball is a type of item that is critical to a Trainer’s quest, and is used for catching and storing Pokémon.
Pom poms are always fun to make. You can make your own cardboard circles from an old cereal box which is what I used to do when I was a child. Or you can make life as easy as possible and use a pom pom maker. I have a couple of Clover Pom Pom makers and they are really quick and easy to use – you can see a helpful visual I put together for a previous post here.
Pokémon Go Poké ball pom pom craft
We had so much fun with this quick and easy Pokémon Go craft for kids. All you need is red/white/black wool, scissors and a Pom Pom maker (or cardboard rings if you’re old-school).
Open up the Pom Pom maker and get winding – red wool on one half and white on the other. The Pokémon Go Poké ball has a thin black line which I added by adding a few lengths of black wool around the centre of each half.
Then I cut through the wool, tied a length of wool around the middle and pulled the pom pom maker apart.
Our Poké ball pom poms turned out quite well, we’re going to add them to our book bags. Well. it’s never too early to be thinking about back to school crafts!
