We love a new game and were recently sent Poetry for Neanderthals: NSFW Edition. This is an adult version of the hit game from Exploding Kittens for ages 17+ where you must “speak good or get spanked with stick”!

Poetry for Neanderthals – Not Safe for Work Edition

The game is quick to learn. Players earn points by getting their teammates to guess words and phrases like “glory hole” and “sex robot.” The catch is that they are only allowed to use single syllable words. If they use any words with more than one syllable, the other team gets to spank them with the 2-foot inflatable Spank Stick. Yes, really – you can see why it is NSFW.

Can you get grandma to guess “gimp mask” before time runs out? It’s a board game that forces you to explain complicated ideas using simple vocabulary while sounding a little bit dumb. Get your team to guess as many words and phrases as possible before time runs out to dominate your prehistoric rivals.

The game was easy to learn and really fun to play. We usually play family games so this was a little different and will be kept for grown up dinner parties (or when the kids are a lot older!). You can play it with 2 people but we found it was more fun with 3 or more. I can see us getting this out next time we have some friends round, and it will be lots of fun over the Christmas holidays!
