Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. Monday Happy Things {Week 407} My son returned from a week-long Scout camp. He did a 2 day hike, cycling, coasteering, fishing, crabbing, swimming in the sea, go-karting, and had an amazing time. It was strange without him as its the longest time…

A few weeks ago my daughter and I hopped into London for some sightseeing. We managed to visit Sky Gardens, Superbloom at the Tower of London before finishing off with the Exploring Chimps Are Family sculpture trail. The sculpture trail runs between London Bridge and Tower Bridge and is open until 22nd October so there’s plenty of time to go and see it. Exploring Chimps Are Family sculpture trail We are huge fans of sculpture trails and public art. There is always something to see and do in London, and it doesn’t feel that long ago since we visited the…

The summer holidays are rushing by like they always do. We have been busy outside in the garden, enjoying the warm weather. We couldn’t resist making these fun craft stick catapults. They don’t need many items to make them and are a fun STEM activity for kids. We thought we would share the process for making simple craft stick catapults, why not decorate them and set up a competition to see how far you can catapult! Craft stick catapult supplies: 9 popsicle or craft sticks 5 rubber bands 1 plastic spoon Small ball to fit inside the spoon (we used…

I can’t believe it’s three years ago since we were introduced to the game Exploding Kittens. It’s been a firm favourite with our family, and always gets packed away when we go away for a weekend. Last year we were lucky to try Exploding Minions too! Exploding Kittens – The premise is simple – you are dealt a number of cards. You take it in turns to place and draw cards until you pick an Exploding Kitten card. Then you explode, and when you explode you die. Unless you use a Defuse card which will stop the kitten from exploding.…

It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. Monday Happy Things {Week 406} We survived the extreme heat we faced in London last week. It reached 39 degrees on Tuesday afternoon which was just horrible. I spent Monday and Tuesday at the office, which was air conditioned, but it wasn’t…

It’s been a while since our last visit to the Tower of London. However, when I heard that over 20 million seeds from 29 flower species have been planted in the moat around the Tower of London to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of The Queen, I knew we had to visit. Luckily Little Sis heard all about the huge slide going down into the moat, and wanted to come too. Superbloom at the Tower of London I booked our tickets online and we hopped on the underground into London. You can actually walk around the outside of the Tower of…

It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. Monday Happy Things {Week 405} Hope you had a great week. We were so busy as our old fridge freezer broke down and we had to get a new fridge freezer. Unfortunately we had just done a big food shop and couldn’t find…
