Monday Happy List

Sunday Happy Things {Week 415}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. I’m mixing things up a little by posting this weekly post on Sunday instead of Monday!

Sunday Happy Things {Week 415}

The weather has been amazing over the weekend. We were supposed to be going away for the weekend but we had to cancel as our son was sick. So our daughter went away to Cub camp and we stayed at home with our son. We made the most of our unexpected time at home by having a good clear out – books went to the charity shop, the shed got cleared out and we did a lot of work on the garden.

Last week I did a lot of work on my family history blog. It’s one of those hobbies which is easy to pick up when I have some spare time. I updated the family tree which was long overdue and updated the settings which made it look a little more modern and easy to use. I also scanned some of my oldest photos so I could get some printed to be displayed at home.

We took my daughter to look round her new secondary school which was fun. She is really excited for the art and PE lessons, hopefully she will enjoy all the new lessons! It will be a big change for her but I think she’s ready.

Merry and Bright mini quilt kit

I tidied up my craft supplies and pulled out the Merry and Bright mini quilt kit I bought a while ago (another one from Pretty Fabrics and Trims). I am making an early start on my Christmas crafting as time always runs away with me!

I’ve been reading Cornish Clouds and Silver Lining Skies by Ali McNamara. I’ve read a lot of her books which are really easy to read. We reviewed Secrets and Seashells at Rainbow Bay here.

    I’ve never done a proper family tree, but I would love to do one. It’s so nice that you’ve got that to pick up on every so often x

    I want to start doing some Christmas crafts, but I’m really busy at the moment. So looks like it will have to wait a few more weeks.
