A few weeks ago my husband and I headed over to the Design Museum in Kensington. We’ve been wanting to go ever since it re-opened in the old Commonwealth Institute on High Street Kensington. With my husbands birthday coming up I booked tickets to go and see Ferrari: under the skin which I knew he would love. My husband loves design and we had been huge fans of the old Design Museum when it had been at Shad Thames. I love visiting museums with the children but sometimes it is lovely to have a grown up day out. We dropped…

I know that Mother’s Day is only just over but already I’ve started to think about Easter. It seems to be earlier than ever this year, but that also might be due to the fact we have both mine and my son’s birthdays to celebrate first! Anyway, back to Easter. It’s only 3 weeks away so it’s definitely time to start thinking about Easter gifts! My children love Easter. They have 2 weeks holiday from school and we have lots of exciting plans to see friends and family. Give Playmobil Easter Eggs this Easter We are hosting Easter this year…

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I love starting off each week by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week. Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things I had quite a busy week. I started off slowly recovering from a horrendous stomach bug that completely knocked me for six. I hate being ill but gradually felt a little better every day. We did a lot of crafting after school last week, I love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid painted…

Friday night is Games Night in our house. We all look forward to it and it seems to mark the end of the working week and the start of the weekend. We are so lucky to have a great selection of board games. Over the last year we’ve added Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne to our collection which we all love. Sometimes my 6 year old gets a little frustrated, so we often play on the same side, but I love that they are now old enough to enjoy more grown up games. Our Friday night games have always been…

Have you noticed how much lighter the evenings are here in the UK? The days seem to be getting noticeably longer every day and the clocks go forward in a few weeks. I feel so much happier at this time of year and seem to achieve more, thanks to the extra hours of daylight. Of course more hours of daylight means more time to spend with my children. We’ve spent a few hours tidying up the garden, and even mowed the lawn for the first time. I can’t wait to give the playhouse a spring clean and tidy up the…

Living in London we are absolutely spoilt for choice with things to do at the weekend. One of our favourite places is KidZania, a city for children, based in Westfield London shopping centre. Today we were invited along to Kidzania as they were kicking off British Science Week with an explosive one day Wonderlab experience, in partnership with the Science Museum. Celebrating British Science Week with KidZania To be honest I’ve never heard of British Science Week but I’m all in favour of anything which encourages my children to have an interest in science. We were lucky enough to visit Wonderlab…

A few weeks ago Little Sis was sent two of the new for Spring 2018 Little Live Bizzy Bubs from Character Options. We’ve reviewed something from the Little Live (Pets) range before and it’s something my children still play with and enjoy. I was interested to see what my daughter would think of Little Live Bizzy Bubs. Little Live Bizzy Bubs New to the Little Live collection from Character Options are Little Live Bizzy Bubs! These little bundles of joy are way too busy for bedtime! Full of life and personality they can’t wait to play and show you what they can…

My lovely little boy is going to be 8 next week. 8! I can’t quite believe that my lovely little baby is growing up so quickly. Thankfully he still loves to craft just as much as I do and we have plenty of laughs together. He recently discovered The Diary of a Wimpy Kid books which have been great for him. You may remember he was a bit of reluctant reader until he discovered Star Wars books. I didn’t think his Star Wars obsession would ever end but I think The Last Jedi might just have ended it for him.…

We have a lot of photos on display in our house. We have a lovely photo wall where we like to display some of our favourite family photos. I love to use photos in my craft projects too, and with Mother’s Day coming up, I thought it would be fun to create fridge magnets as a personalised Mother’s Day gift. We love to give handmade gifts throughout the year. Mother’s Day is a lovely date in our calendar and I would much rather receive a handmade card and gift than anything shop-bought. Follow my tutorial and you can see how…
